An Introduction to the weird and wonderful world of the Donegal fiddle tradition. The remote and unique landscape of Donegal and its close links with Scotland have meant that the musical traditions have retained a very distinct character. This course looks at some of the different tune types which are rarely heard outside of Donegal - such as Highlands and Mazurkas as well as some cracking reels and a beautiful waltz - and explores tunes played by masters such as James Byrne, Vincent Campbell and John Doherty.
